About the Artist
"Since the moment I first touched metal in a creative way, I was able to sense the tradition and history inherent within each finished piece, whether it was a Bronze plaque or a Silver teapot."

Philosophy
“My belief in this tradition has been and continues to be an important element in how I approach each commission. My use of the word “tradition” does not necessarily imply traditional design, as much as the tradition of quality and integrity that all artisans instill into their work. I believe in the ‘100 year plan:’ when I design and produce a piece, be it functional or purely decorative, I obligate myself to make the finest product my abilities and the material will allow. I really enjoy combining contemporary or original design with traditional techniques. It seems as though each metal brings its own historical identity of technique and application. Some of my challenge comes from crossing these boundaries, either in how a metal is used or in applying a technique to a metal that it typically not done.”
